A Beaumont police officer is recovering following a crash at College and Pinchback. The
officer was on a motorcycle escorting a funeral procession when a pickup failed to yield the
right of way and crossed College Street striking the officer. The officer sustained serious injuries.
The driver of the pickup was not hurt.
