Gas prices continue to drop. This morning’s average for a gallon in the Beaumont/Port Arthur
area is $2.93, which is down four cents. The statewide average dropped four cents to $2.92 a
gallon. The national average is $3.35 a gallon, that is down two cents from last week. The
state with the highest average is California at $4.68 a gallon. The lowest prices are in Oklahoma
at $2.91 a gallon, just a penny lower than Texas. The averages are compiled on a daily basis by
Triple A Texas.
