The number of positive COVID-19 cases is on the increase daily. The Beaumont Public Health
Department reports 395 new cases in the city yesterday and 422 in the Beaumont jurisdiction.
In Jefferson County there are 141 COVID patients hospitalized, of those 33 are vaccinated. The
number of Jefferson County residents getting vaccinated is increasing. 58.6%have received the
first dose, 50.7% the second, and 15.9% have received the booster.
