The DPS reports a 5-year old girl has died after her bike was struck by a vehicle near Bridge
City. The child was riding the electric bike in the 800 block of Lapointe Street, off of FM
1442, yesterday afternoon when she was struck by a pickup truck. She was transported to
Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont where she died.
