Jefferson County commissioners have approved the ES&S voting system for elections. This
system will allow citizens to vote electronically or receive a printed ballot so they can hand
mark their selection. The county was given a $3.2 million grant from the state for the new
the system. The county had to have a new system in place before November or they would
of lost half of the grant money.
