A Washington man has been sentenced to more than four years in federal prison for a
social security scheme in the Eastern District of Texas. 28-year old Aakash Gandhi was
part of the scheme that would tell victims they will suffer financial ruin or criminal liability if
they did not send payments to correct fictional problems. In Beaumont yesterday, U.S. District
Judge Marcia Crone sentenced Gandhi to 51 months. Gandhi pleaded guilty to the charges
this past November.
