Beaumont police have released additional information on a fatality. Around 11:55 Sunday night
the driver of a Jeep lost control on Cardinal Drive at Highway 347. The jeep rolled over and
caught fire. A passenger, 23-year old Madison Thibodeaux of Lumberton, was pronounced dead
at the scene. The driver, who was able to free herself from the vehicle, was transported to the
hospital.
