State Asking For Donations To Bus Migrants

Austin, TX)-- The state of Texas is asking for public donations to help with the costs of sending migrants to Washington, D.C. and New York City. The website for the Office of the Governor displays a message telling visitors they can donate online or by mail. The Washington Examiner reports the state has racked up bills totaling almost seven-million dollars for busing and security as of mid-July.So far, Texas has collected just over 118-thousand dollars in public donations. Governor Greg Abbott has been sending migrants to D.C. and New York City in response to what he says is "President Biden's continued refusal to acknowledge the crisis caused by his open border policies."
