There will be one debate between Texas Governor Greg Abbott and challenger Beto O'Rourke. Both the Republican Abbott and Democrat O'Rourke have accepted invites for a September 30th debate at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. O'Rourke is also pushing for four town hall-style debates, but Abbott says he's only interested in the Rio Grande Valley event. Polls show Abbott leading O'Rourke by at least five points.
