A one-vehicle wreck on I-10 in Jefferson County has claimed the life of an 11-year old girl. The
DPS reports a SUV was traveling west near Smith Road yesterday morning when the driver lost
control and struck the concrete wall. The girl was pronounced dead at the scene. A total of 11
people were in the vehicle. Seven were transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. Three
were transported to Memorial Baptist Hospital in Houston.
