Store Clerk Hit In Head With Gun During Robbery

Investigators with the Newton County Sheriff’s Office are looking for a man wanted for an

aggravated robbery. The robbery occurred Friday night at the Texas Country Store Stop on

Highway190 East in Bon Wier. The robber, who was wearing a mask, gloves, trench coat,

and had a handgun, hit the clerk in the back of the head with the gun and took money from the

store. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Newton County Sheriff’s Office.
