A Friday wreck on I-10 in Louisiana claimed the life of Nederland’s City Clerk. 61-year old
Gay Ferguson was traveling west in Jefferson Parish when an eastbound vehicle crossed the
median striking her vehicle head-on. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her 3-year old
grandson was injured in the crash. The driver of the vehicle that crossed into her lane of
traffic was hospitalized.
