The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Mauriceville man for murder. 45-year old Max
Lee Keath is charged with the October 30th death of 38-year old Christopher Matthews.
Matthews died after being struck by a pickup in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the
3800 block of Major Drive in Beaumont. The two men were involved in a disturbance prior to
Matthew’s death. Keath was arrested the following day.
