A convicted murderer is in custody. Matthew Edgar was arrested yesterday at a home near
Hemphill. In January of last year, Edgar was convicted for the October 2020 murder of his
girlfriend, 19-year old Livey Lewis. He was out on bond and failed to return during his trial
that resumed without him. He was convicted and sentenced to 99 years
