A Beaumont man faces up to seven years in federal prison after pleading guilty to animal
cruelty charges. 23-year old Decorious Mire and a co-defendant brutally kicked a cat in the
parking lot of a Beaumont apartment complex in October 2021. He filmed the incident and
posted it on social media. He will be sentenced on a later date.
