(Austin, TX) -- It's not looking good for Governor Greg Abbot's push for public school vouchers.The plan to allow parents to use taxpayer dollars to send their kids to private schools was not part of the budget passed by the state house, which has now been sent over to the Senate. A bill in the Texas Senate to set up a voucher system passed, but the billion dollar price tag may be too much when the budget is debated.That could come as early as this week.
