A robbery suspect is in custody. Just before 12:30 this morning the Speedy Stop in the 8300 block of
College Street in Beaumont was robbed at gunpoint. A short time later police located the suspect’s
vehicle, which turned out to be stolen. Following a pursuit that ended in the 2100 block of Twin City
Highway in Nederland, the suspect was arrested and transported to the Jefferson County Correctional
Facility.
