The Jefferson grand jury has indicted a man for attacking his aunt. 43-year old Phillip Simon Battles Jr.
is accused of strangling his aunt during a confrontation to a point where she could not breathe. The
attack occurred at the family home in the 1900 block of Tulane in Beaumont on February 17th. Battle
was arrest in a field across from the home.
