A Starks man is accused of shooting a 14-year-old girl in the back of the head. Calcasieu Parish deputies
responded early Sunday morning to a shooting on Jimmy Doyle Road. An investigation found that the
wounded girl was one of several kids who were playing hide and seek on the property of 58-year-old
David Doyle.Detectives say Doyle was alarmed that people were outside his home in the dark, so he got
his gun and started shooting. The girl is reportedly recovering at a local hospital. Doyle is charged with
aggravated battery and other charges.
