A Houston woman that pleaded guilty to the murder of 5-year old Samuel Olson has been sentenced
to 52 years in prison by a Harris County Judge. The boy’s body was found hidden in a plastic container
in a Jasper motel room in June of 2021. Yesterday, Theresa Balboa was sentenced. She must serve
at least half of the 52 year sentence before she becomes eligible for parole. Balboa had been dating
the boy’s father.
