Checking gas prices as we head into a long holiday weekend. The average price in the Beaumont/Port
Arthur area is down four cents from last week to $3.09 a gallon. Last year on June 30th we were paying
$4.48 a gallon. The statewide average dropped six cents to $3.17. The average price across the nation
this morning is $3.54, down four cents. These averages are from Triple A Texas.
