Quick actions by a 17-year old Orangefield High School student saved his family Wednesday
morning. The teen woke up with his family’s home on fire in the Bobcat Trails subdivision
behind Orangefield Jr. High School. Fire Captain Elgin Browning says his heroic actions help
his family escape the burning home that sustained heavy damage. At this time, it is believed an
electrical issue caused the fire. There were no injuries.
