(Austin, TX) -- The Texas House and the Texas Senate have come together on a deal to lower property taxes. This comes after republican in-fighting during both the regular session of the state legislature and one special session. Every Texas homeowner will get a 100-thousand dollar homestead exemption. The state is also spending 12-billion dollars to reduce the school property tax rate.
