The U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board has released a new safety video on the
investigation into the TPC plant explosion that occurred in Port Neches in November of 2019. The
investigation found inadequate management after a hazardous polymer grew after a process pump
was removed. The explosion was felt up to 30 miles away. A second explosion at the plant occurred
the following day.
