A Beaumont teen that pleaded guilty to murder has been sentenced to 25 years in prison. 17-year old
Kaylon Johnson entered the plea for his involvement in the March 2022 shooting death of 31-year old
Richard Shillow at the Virginia Estates Apartments in the 2200 block of West Virginia Street in
Beaumont. Two others, 19- year old Charles Jerome Verdine Jr. and24-year old Ronald Babino were also
indicted in the murder of Shillow.
