The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Port Arthur man in connection with the death of a 1-year
old girl. 23-year old Gonzalo Alvarado is charged with injury to a child. The child was found dead in her
Port Arthur home on July 2nd. She had skin abrasions and died from blunt force trauma to her forehead
and back of her head. Alvarado is the boyfriend of the child’s mother.
