Due to dry conditions, several Southeast Texas counties are under burn bans. They include Hardin,
Newton, Jasper, Chambers, Tyler, and Polk counties. We spoke with Jefferson County Judge Jeff Branick
who told us they are monitoring the Keech Byran Drought Index before making a decision. That decision
could come sometime today. Orange County is also monitoring conditions before making a decision.
