Bob West, a longtime Southeast Texas sportswriter, passed away this morning. His son Damon posted on
Facebook Bob passed away at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston following a battle with colon cancer.
West spent decades covering sports first with the Beaumont Enterprise, then the Port Arthur News. He
also has his “Sports Rap” talk show on KLVI for years. Bob West was 79 years old.
