Manslaughter charges have been filed against a man in connection with a weekend hit and run fatality
near Winnie Saturday night. 45-year old Christian Sykes, of Winnie, died when his vehicle was struck
from behind. Sykes was pronounce dead at the scene. His 5-year old son was transported to the hospital.
Investigators say the driver that struck Sykes’ vehicle, 21-year old Tristen Dunham of Winne, fled the
scene in another vehicle. Dunahm is charged with manslaughter. He was released from jail after posting
a $75,000 bond.
