Austin, TX) -- All Department of Public Safety driver's license offices are closed this morning because of an outage affecting the driver's license system. The DPS announced Tuesday that all offices statewide will be closed from 7 a.m. to noon. The outage affects all services, including renewing and replacing a driver's license or ID card and obtaining driver records. The DPS is notifying customers about their canceled appointments.The department says they're working to identify and resolve the problem, which is related to a system update.
