The DPS reports a passenger in a car died yesterday in a Jasper County wreck. The driver of that car
attempted to pass a vehicle on Highway 63 and struck the front portion of an oncoming car. The car
veered off the road striking a tree and bursting into flames. 30-year old Soyinka Russell, of New Orleans,
was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was transported to the hospital.
