The Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct has suspended Jefferson County Precinct 8 Justice of the Peace Tom Gillam lll without pay, pending the outcome of the criminal case stemming from his indictment. A Jefferson County grand jury indicted the longtime justice of the peace on a charge of Official Oppression linked to sexual harassment allegations. Jefferson County Judge Jeff Branick says he’ll have to determine how the county can help pick up Judge Gillam’s workload until the matter is resolved.
