The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Houston man for murder. 21-year old Agusta Simon Jr.
is charged with the September 9th shooting death of 29-year old Leroy Smith at The Park in the 2300
block of Calder in Beaumont. Simon threw a handgun during a foot pursuit with police following the
shooting. He confessed to the murder during an interview with detectives.
