The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Groves man for attempted kidnapping and aggravated
assault with a deadly weapon. On October 15th, 48-year old Jeremy Lane Pittman tried to forcibly remove
his wife at an event at the Apostolic Church on South 27th Street in Nederland. He left and returned with
a gun. The gun discharged when other church member were taking the gun away from Pittman.
