Several school districts across the state, including the Beaumont Independent School District, have been
granted a temporary injunction by a judge against the Texas Education Agency’s rating system. The
injunction blocks the TEA from assigning A-F performance ratings against school districts for this school
year. In the lawsuit, the districts claim the TEA did not follow the law in notifying the school districts in
time for the changes of the new system.
