A 15-year old is in the Hardin County Juvenile Detention Center following an incident at Lumberton High
School Tuesday morning. A teacher went into a bathroom and saw a student with what appeared to be
an assault rifle. Several students were in the restroom. The teacher disarmed the student with what
turned out to be an airsoft toy gun that shoots a hard plastic projectile. The student has been charged
with deadly conduct.
