Lumberton police have released the name of a man that was shot and killed Wednesday night in front of
the Papa John’s on Main Street. Police say 51-year old Waylon Mark Palmore, of Kirbyville, shot a man in
the arm during an altercation. The son of the man shot in the arm shot Palmore, who died at the scene.
An arrest has not been made as the case is being investigated as self-defense. The case will be turned
over to the District Attorney’s Office.
