The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Galveston County man for murder. 25-year old John
Joseph Gutirrez, of Hitchcock, is accused of the April 9th shooting death of Javoris Potier at the Laday
Arena on Boyt Road. The shooting occurred during an event at annual I-10 Super Ride. In a related story,
31-year old Jolecia Everette Wade, of Texas City, has been indicted for aggravated perjury. She is accused
of lying to the grand jury about the shooting.
