A suspect is in custody for a deadly shooting that took place early Friday morning in Lake Charles.
Officers responded to a home on Sale Lane at West McNeese after a teenager called and said he and his
mother had been shot.When they arrived, officers found 35-year-old Danielle Walker dead of a gunshot
wound. They arrested 35-year-old Terrence Withers of Lake Charles at the scene. The wounded 15-year-
old was hospitalized, and was released on Sunday. Withers is charged with murder and attempted
murder.
