Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry is talking up his plan for a new bridge in Lake Charles. At the Golden Nugget
on Thursday night, Landry compared his plan to the one former Gov. John Bel Edwards never brought
about. The governor said in addition to the bridge, his plan includes more than five miles of new
interstate and feeder roads at a cost 25-percent less than Edwards's proposal. Landry said 60- percent of
the tolls on the bridge would be paid by travelers from out of state, and the revenues would go back
into local infrastructure projects.
