A man arrested in January of last year for possessing an AR-15 style rifle, a 30-round magazine and 150
rounds of ammunition in his vehicle near St. Anthony’s school in Beaumont has been sentenced to five
years in federal prison. Ahman Allam pleaded guilty to the charges in August. His vehicle had been
parked near the school and Temple Emanual for several days prior to his arrest.
