Three are jailed in Newton County following a pursuit that started in Southwest Louisiana and ended
near Deweyville. The suspects were fleeing from Louisiana state police following a bank robbery in
Sulphur. They stopped and fled on foot on Highway 12, at Highway 87. They were caught a short time
later. Speeds reached up to 130 mph during the pursuit. All three suspects are from Louisiana.
