It is day four of the capital murder trial of 63-year old Charles Foreman. His is charged with the
January 1995 murder of Mary Catherine Edwards at her Beaumont home on Park Meadow. DNA
evidence was presented in the trial yesterday. The trial is expected to extend into next week in
Judge John Stevens courtroom. Foreman, who was arrested in Ohio in 2021, faces an automatic
life sentence if he is convicted. The state is not seeking the death penalty.
