The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Lamar University student for aggravated assault with a
deadly weapon. 20-year old Jay Knox, of Silsbee, is accused of attacking a fellow student at Gentry Hall
on March 10th. A gun discharged while the victim was being struck with it. The attack was related to the
alleged theft of a social security card.
