Police have released the name of a pedestrian struck and killed on Highway 69 Monday night. 24-year
old Dalton Drake, last known address in Port Arthur, died at the scene. Beaumont police the driver was
traveling north and missed his exit. He tried to cut through the grassy median losing control and striking
Drake. The driver was arrested on unrelated warrants. He will be formally charged with the fatality.
