A man is dead following an officer involved shooting in Jasper. The officer went to a home Tuesday
morning in the 100 block of Parker Drive in Jasper. Shots were exchanged. The suspect died at the
scene. The officer was shot and is in stable condition. A bullet protective vest stopped the bullet
from penetrating the officer, who is listed in stable condition.
