Two Entergy-Texas subcontractors were struck and killed by a vehicle yesterday morning on Highway 87
at Crystal Beach. They were checking on a substation that is under construction. One worker died at the
scene, the other at a Galveston hospital. The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office reports the driver of the
car may have suffered a medical condition.
