Trial Ends With Guilty Plea

A murder trial in Jefferson County ended yesterday when the defendant pleaded guilty in the middle

of testimony. Following the plea, 52-year old Naomi Johnson was sentenced to 30 years in prison

for the 2020 stabbing death of her boyfriend, Kelvin McMahon in Beaumont. She drank rat poison

following the murder. At the time of this murder, Johnson was on parole for the 2000 stabbing death

of another boyfriend. In 2004 she was sentenced to 35 years for the murder of Terry Boiulwen, She

was released on parole in 2013.
