One person was killed in a two vehicle wreck in Lumberton last night. Chief of Police Danny
Sullins sys it happened on Highway 69, near the Highway 96 split. A southbound vehicle was
attempting to turn left on M-Video Road and turned into the path of an oncoming vehicle. A
passenger in the turning vehicle, 80-year old Jerry Charles Becka Jr., of Lumberton, died at the
scene. Both drivers were transported to the hospital.
