The center of Beryl is now making landfall over eastern Matagorda Bay with highest winds of near 80 mph. Motion has been to the NNW about 10-12 mph with a gradual turn to the north expected shortly. This will bring Beryl through the western suburbs of Houston by mid to late morning hours.
